No Pictures Today

Hello everyone! As some of you may know, we have been battling some illnesses recently with Juliet and we are still in seek of some answers. She has been diagnosed with Urinary Tract Infections (UTI) twice and has been very sick since the end of August. We spent much of last week in the hospital with her and many tests were conducted (UTI's were mis-diagnosed). We still don't have many answers but some things have been ruled out. We still have to have some tests done at the hospital that will prove traumatic for Juliet, but we have to get to the bottom of this problem. Juliet is in good spirits regardless of missing her Birthday Party (we have not been able to reschedule because she hasn't been well enough yet) and Halloween. She realized tonight that she really missed it and there isn't a chance for a re-do. I will keep you posted as we go down this path, we are feeling confident there will be a light at the end of the tunnel. It has been a rough journey so far and Jules has missed much of her Kindergarten year. I am sure we have a ton of homework and I am almost afraid for her to go back again! Next post---fun photos!!!!

Jessie's Senior Homecoming!!!!

Well, this weekend was Waterford Mott Homecoming! Jessie was very excited and had a great time. The evening began with dinner at the Lion's Den and ended at the school for the dance. She has sore feet and legs from dancing all night......but she had a great time!

Juliet's Birthday (sick-day)

We really tried to give Juliet a fun Birthday (5th) but this year was not a good year. She went to the doctor on her birthday and for the next two days. We aren't certain what is happening yet, but she is stabilized and may even go to school tomorrow. She didn't get to have her birthday party at school or her Chuck E. Cheese party so we will be rescheduling those as soon as Juliet feels up to it. She ended up missing a week of school and had a couple of hospital visits but we will be seeing a specialist soon and are sure she will be on the mend very soon! HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIET!! Here are some photos of the occasion, the first one, she was awake but not interested in her gifts, so I stopped taking pictures until she was able to sit up in her chair and see her gifts.

Uncle Mearl's Birthday

We were invited to celebrate my Uncle Mearl's 70th Birthday. I was able to see my relatives and cousins, some of which I hadn't seen in a while. I missed everyone and can't believe how big all of the "little" kids are! We had a really good time despite the unseasonably HOT weather. EVERYONE was sweating!!!!

Spider-Kitty

(sung to the theme "Spider Man")
Spider-Kitty, Spider-Kitty, does whatever a Spider-Kitty does, climbs a cage, any size, catches stuffed animals, just like any other inanimate object, look out! Here comes the Spider-Kitty!!!

Last weekend we ended up rescuing a kitty. Previously, I had never encountered an ugly kitten. Well, now I own an ugly kitten. She is interesting, which adds to her charm. She can stand on her hind legs for a long time, she is fearless---almost stupid, and she can climb the ferret cage with great ease. How did I get talked into this one???

Juliet Fun Run

Juliet had her Fun Run this week at school to raise money for the PTA. She made about $40 (from us) for all her work. They had a beautiful day to do it and all the kids had a great time. The Fun Run is he PTA's answer to complaints about the kids going door to door selling candy (that didn't taste good) or other items that nobody wanted.

Sweet Jessie's Birthday Wish

So, my dear, what would you like for your 17th Birthday? Roses? A pretty dress? A date with this handsome fellow??? NONE OF THE ABOVE!

My sweet Jessie desired a piercing! I eventually agreed considering it is reversible and isn't on her face and isn't a tattoo. I had the pleasure of seeing my daughter get her tongue pierced on her birthday! What a thrill! Well, at least it will be good for a few laughs down the road when she decides it was a bad idea! And now I have blackmail photos to reminisce the event when she is 40 or so! Her children will be amused someday!

Try Kikkoman Brand Soy Sauce!

Yes, we are an obvious dysfunctional family....some fun photos here taken last week. Jessie chose the Chinese restaurant for one of her birthday celebrations. Josh and Jessie decided to advertise the soy sauce and also attempt to give themselves prosthetic fangs made out of chop sticks. We really know how to have a good time!! Part-ee???
